Old reapportionment plan pops up again
In Sacramento UPI reports Sen. Mervyn Dymally calls a hearing on a revived 1973 redistricting plan. The proposal creates a Mexican American district in East Los Angeles and keeps existing districts for Walsh and Short while adding an at large San Francisco Marin counties seat. The plan competes with Zenovich Harmer bipartisan measures, drawing Republican interest.
