Rampaging bulldozer halted after dangerous runaway incident

Apollo 11 Debris Almost Hit German Ship in Atlantic
Space agency engineer Adolf H Knothe reported at an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics meeting that debris from the first stage of Apollo 11 narrowly missed the German vessel Veg esach about 375 miles east northeast of Cape Kennedy at 9 45 a m EDT on July 16 during liftoff.
