GOP leader says Nixon troop plan irreversible
Senate Republican Leader Hugh Scott testified that Nixon will not reverse troop withdrawals from Vietnam and that the process is irreversible. Woman 22 fatally struck on Highway 101 south of Santa Maria
Suzzanne Faye Hohensee, 22, of Arroyo Grande, died after stepping in front of Francisco Molina’s car on Highway 101 five miles south of Santa Maria. CHP said she waved for help as she stalled, and a passing truck driver saw Molina’s vehicle hit her. A separate Lompoc collision injured two drivers, Patricia O Neill and Gerald Hayes.

U.S. sources claim 41 North Vietnam targets were bombed since bombing halt over 15 months ago. Nine manned aircraft shot down. Mayor proposes brief Tuesday council meetings

Satellite tests new electronic propulsion in near perfect orbit
The SERT II satellite designed to test electric propulsion for deep space voyages reached a near perfect circular orbit around 623 miles high at apogee and 619 miles at perigee.
