Local stock markets closed. Pasadena crash injures woman
The New York and American stock exchanges were closed today with no stock listings. A Pasadena woman, Mary Russ, 74, suffered minor injuries when her husband Kenneth Russ 71 collided with Hatsue Sisler 21 of Lompoc at Timberlane Avenue and Lompoc Casmalia Road. Mrs Russ was treated at Vandenberg Air Force Base Hospital.

Interstate interchange approved near Lompoc on SH 1
State Highway Commission adopted a resolution to construct an interchange on State Highway 1 about three miles north of Lompoc. The plan, requested by the Board of Supervisors last July 27, is contingent on local road development and funds. State to pay interchange and crossroad costs. other agencies bear remaining costs.
