Hoffa shall not seek return to Teamsters after clemency
Former Teamsters president James R. Hoffa, freed by President Nixon’s clemency after four years in Lewisburg prison, said he has no plans to rejoin the union and praised Hoffa’s leadership as “one of the happiest moments of my life.” The order prohibits involvement in labor leadership before March 6, 1980.
