Nixon removes 10 percent surcharge on foreign imports

Seven injured in four highway accidents over the weekend
Over the weekend seven people were injured in four separate highway crashes. Julian Gonsales, 19, fractured pelvis in a rollover on Highway 101 near Santa Maria and was in satisfactory condition at Lompoc Hospital. Debbie McConnell, 18, treated and released. Jeffrey Car Lopes and Lisa Smith sustained minor injuries after being ejected on Highway 101 near Santa Rosa Road and released from Santa Ynez Valley Hospital. Paulette Swindle and Cindy Swindle, both 17 and 15, rolled over on Highway 1 near Las Cruces after driver distracted. Jeri Millard, 32, in collision with a Southern Pacific freight engine in Lompoc, listed with broken ribs and internal injuries.
