Four GIs Killed in Vietnam War Week Report
UPI reports four American servicemen were killed and 14 wounded in the Vietnam War last week, with 34 more deaths noted in a helicopter crash near Da Nang. Total U.S. casualties reach 45,617 since 1961 with 302,297 wounded. South Vietnamese deaths 314 and 630 wounded. 808 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong killed. Militiaman and daughter shot in Belfast home
In Belfast a Ulster Defence Regiment militiaman and his 10 year old daughter were shot as they watched television. Pvt Dennis Wilson and Sean Russell were killed and wounded respectively. The gunman, believed IRA, entered the parlor after asking for Sean. The officer said the killings will not deter civilians from joining or current members.
