Commission OKs 71 Home Demolitions for State Beach
The South Coast Regional Coastline Commission voted 7-1 to demolish 71 Topanga Beach homes owned by the state to create a new state beach. The Topanga Beach Renters Association, about 150 residents, plans an appeal to the state Coastline Commission and has filed suit seeking a temporary restraining order to halt evictions and destruction.
