A severe quake struck four states from Mexico City to the Gulf coast leaving over 100 dead and more than 1,000 injured. In Orizaba a 12 story building collapsed with hundreds trapped. fatalities also reported in Cordoba Puebla Quecholac and other areas near the volcano. Red Cross officials warned the toll could rise as rescue efforts continued.

CHP to deploy heavy overtime for Labor Day patrols
