Lieutenant General Charles H. Terhune Jr., vice commander of Air Force Systems Command, will retire August 31 after a 31 year career. His replacement is Lt. Gen. John W. O Neill. His service included leading missile programs and key divisions, earning the DSM, Legion of Merit, and Air Medal. He holds an honorary engineering PhD from Purdue University. He is married to Beatrice Holcombe. they have three children.
