The U S Bureau of Reclamation outlined a reconnaissance study costing up to 2 2 million to assess an undersea aqueduct carrying northern California water to Southern California. No Meeting This Sunday for Lompoc Coin Club
The Lompoc Coin Club announced there will be no meeting this Sunday and the next gathering is scheduled for June 6. A 19 year old Lompoc youth was admitted to Lompoc Hospital after claiming a possible drug overdose he reportedly ingested before arriving at the police department. Police found what appeared to be seconal and other drugs plus hypodermic equipment.

California Highway Patrol officers Larry Preston and Phil Eskridge received certificates commending completion of a new apprenticeship qualification period. Lt. Baseball star Albie Pearson to visit Lompoc
Albie Pearson once dubbed the smallest man in baseball will visit Lompoc from Thursday to Sunday as a guest of Valley Chapel Church. He will speak at Grange Hall at 7 30 p m on Thursday and Friday to inspire youths and locals. Pearson, rookie of the year in 1958, hit .304 in 1963 to set a Washington Senators mark and led his club in stolen bases and walks while fanning few times. Now retired, he devotes much time to youth work.
