Deadline foes shuttle plan delay alarms task force

James Cook, executive director of the California Space Shuttle Task Force, warned that any statewide action deadline set by the local California Committee for the Space Shuttle would antagonize the statewide effort amid organization delays. Blanchard Trophy Goes To Whiteman In SAC Missile Combat

The 351st Strategic Missile Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base Missouri won the 1971 SAC Missile Combat Competition at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Whiteman led after day two and secured the title with a 559 of 600 on the Launch Facility Retarget exercise. The win also earned Best Minuteman Wing and Best Missile Maintenance Team honors.

Rogers says U S on final lap to end Vietnam war
