The California State Scholarship and Loan Commission reminds students the April 13, 1973 deadline for the Occupational Education and Training Grant. Grants cover up to $2000 tuition plus $500 for books and supplies. Up to 500 grants available at accredited schools. Applications from schools or the Commission in Sacramento.

Pot use linked to hostility say researchers
Psychologists at Murray State University studied 140 marijuana users and nonusers and report pot lovers exhibit more hostile and dreamlike thoughts than others. Daydreams are aggressive, sexual, or mean, suggesting a link between hostility and later drug abuse, with detection possible by analysis of daydream content.

SAMTEC officer earns Meritorious Service Medal for Apollo work
Lt. Col. William R. Marlowe Jr of SAMTEC Missile Test Group at Vandenberg AFB earned the Meritorious Service Medal for work as a Flight Control Booster Systems Engineer on Apollo missions 12 through 16. He split three years with NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, is Texas Tech and University of Colorado educated, a command pilot and Vietnam veteran. Also noted: Reuben Fleet Space Theater star projector cost 270000 dollars and was down for a week after a candy wrapper and bubble gum were found in the works. Marine Lance Corporal Richard D. Wilks, son of Lompoc residents, promoted at Cherry Point. Hanson still missing in action.
