Nine young ladies will debut as 1970 Lompoc Flower Festival queen candidates at a 4 to 5 p.m. invitational tea at Village Country Club. Civic leaders, committee members, dignitaries, and press will attend as mothers sponsors introduce each candidate and the sponsoring organizations.

Sierra Club Plans Three Weekend Hikes In Central California

The Sierra Club offers three hikes this weekend. A medium six mile round trip to Zaca Peak and Figueroa Mountain starts at Mattei's Tavern Solvang at 9 a.m. Weather cancels the trek. An easy seven mile dune and beach walk meets at 10 a.m. Guadalupe. A 12 mile Sunday stretch from Nira Campground to Pool Rock departs at 9 a.m. Bring lunches and water. Organist Robert Glasgow to give Santa Barbara recital

University of Michigan music professor Robert Glasgow will present a scholarship benefit organ recital at First United Methodist Church Santa Barbara on Friday April 17 at 8:00 p.m. A master class follows Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Organists and students invited by the American Guild of Organists Santa Barbara Chapter and the Santa Barbara County Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California.
