Easter Services at First Christian Church

Two identical Easter services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. feature The Victory of the Resurrection by Rev. P. Meredith McCluer with sermons from 1 Corinthians 15:51-57. Nursery and Sunday School times are provided. McCluer closes his Lompoc interim post and returns to Orange next week.

Bethany Lutheran at 135 S Est lists three Easter Day services. A Sunrise Holy Communion at 6 am with guitars, an 8:15 am Holy Communion, and a 10:45 am service without Holy Communion. Gertrude choir and youth speakers participate, with sermons titled The Dawn of Hope. Easter breakfast follows Sunrise in Timothy Hall and a 9:30 am film Nicodemus replaces Sunday School.

Easter Sunrise Service at La Purisima Mission

Easter Sunrise services will be held at the La Purisima Mission sponsored by the Lompoc Ministerial Association. A choral group of Air Force men will sing. Rev. Easter Vigil Kicks Off 1969 Peace Lutheran Easter

Peace Lutheran Church begins Easter celebrations with an Easter Vigil at 7 30 tonight. Witnesses Conclude Three Day Jehovahs Convention

The Jehovahs Witnesses semi annual convention closed at the Earl Warren Show Grounds in Santa Barbara. Theodore Jaracz spoke on Law and Order and outlined four reasons for past failures in human governance. 2580 attended and 56 new ministers were baptized. Regular meetings resume in Lompoc this week.

Calvary Baptists Join Holy Week Services
