Greene Dayton Bound As Lima Leader Moves To Dayton

W. James Greene, longtime director of the United Fund of Greater Lima, resigns to become executive director of Dayton’s Community Welfare Council. He will assume Dayton duties March 14, with a Lima successor loaned by a committee chaired by Frank E. Zeiger. Greene oversaw UF growth from 471 750 to 605 000 and led reorganizations uniting UF and CWC staffs under one director.

Moyer Assails Street Financing Plan In Lima

Great Council President Harry Moyer criticized a plan to charge property owners for street repairs. He opposed raising the city income tax in 1966 and urged thrift. He suggested utilities bills may be paid at local banks and warned of possible taxes if downtown revitalization stalls and annexation problems persist.

FCC Erases 15 Day Nonduplication Rule for CATV

The FCC asserts jurisdiction over all CATV systems and eliminates the 15 day nonduplication window. It replaces the prior rule with a requirement to avoid duplicating local station programs only on the day of broadcast. The move extends the rule to about 1,600 systems using master antennas or microwave links.
