Immaculate Conception Church at Cherokee welcomes Father FE Schumacher as pastor, succeeding Rev J G Eagan who served as assistant to Rev L J Lynch. Schumacher began duties Sept 6 after roles in Sioux City with Msg Berger and earlier LeMars St Josephs. Segbert Van Beek of Maurice paid a $25 fine for reckless driving after August summons. County superintendent Christine Petersen's office adds a connecting double door for Road meetings. Henry J Engelkes of Sibley pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated second offense, fined $500 with 120 day license suspension.
