Attend Meeting County Tuberculosis and Health Association attended one of the six Regional Meetings sponsored by the Iowa Tuberculosis and Health Association at Milford Iowa on Sept 18. The Dickinson County chapter acted as host county. Harold Harris editor of the Sutherland Courier spoke to the entire group on the importance of publicity on a four year around basis. Banking Department Allows Merrill Bank Office at Hinton

The State Banking Department on Monday granted authorization for Farmers State Bank at Merrill to open a bank office at Hinton. It will not be a branch of Farmers State Bank since branching is illegal in Iowa, according to President Gordon Mennen of Le Mars. No definite opening date has been set.

Approval filed for Le Mars funeral home by Remsen operator

A Globe-Post legal notice reports Joe Fisch of Remsen has submitted an application to Le Mars city council for a funeral home at the St. Joseph's church street site. Fisch runs a successful Remsen funeral home and is linked to transferring local properties including the Martin Schafer house and the Wernli home at Foster Park.

Red Cross Shrinks Local Office Services In 1957

Women of faith meet for World Understanding workshop
