The Ply mouth county courthouse history preserved in photos
Two old cuts of Ply mouth county depict a temple of justice with a dome and a statue of Justice. Pigeons roosted on the statue while the scales often tipped, leading to removal of the blindfolded figure. Cracks in the sandstone dome prompted repairs after discovering unauthorized wooden beams. The courthouse, aging but improved, awaits modernization and possible air conditioning.
