Babying Out Of the Draft Editorial
An editorial argues the United States uses conscription to back internationalism. It claims deferments for young fathers boosted by marriage and children, condemns the draft’s “babying” loopholes, and calls for constitutional changes to end universal conscription and oppose internationalism. It cites Roosevelt and Willkie, argues all Americans must discuss policy decisions to avoid future draft obligations.
