Schmitz daughter and Ahmann son united in a Sept 2, 1987 ceremony at St John’s Church Arcadia officiated by Rev Cletes Ahtmann. Attendants included Maria Schaute Roxlyn Leamy Rita Ahmann and Noel Ahmann. The couple will reside in Carroll. Rev Elton E Bell new Le Mars Assembly of God pastor.

Mrs G Siebens Rites Set at St Johns in Pres ton
Funeral services for Vis Gasks H Siebens 82 Plymouth County resident who died after a two and a half year illness will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St Johns American Lutheran church in Preston Township with Rev Henry Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was born July 22 1875 in Germany and came to the United States at age seven. Survivors include five sons two daughters a brother and sisters 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also noted is the recent purchase of an Aberdeen Angus bull and local visits by family members including Lewis Beaulen and others.

Joren Johnson celebrated his 9th birthday at 308 3rd Ave SLE on August 27 initiating a group of friends for hours of games and a neon luncheon. The group enjoyed a birthday wake with decorations and cake.

Ablers helped the Greens settle in Chifford before Pat Rodney and Tim Neurath returned home after a week visiting Mir and Mrs. Joe Spieler in Benner Dam Wisconsin. Donna and Betty Thelen left for Iowa City after vacation with the parental John Thelen home. Mr. and Mrs. John Schemmel went to Washington DC after two weeks with Art Schemmel’s family. Ray Schourr and sons hosted at Jos Schourr’s home in Sanborn. Thelen family joined James Thelen of Le Mars on a fishing trip across Minnesota. Harold Van Bergen and wife moved to St Louis after two years here as he begins a new Conoco job.
