Minor collision reported at LeMars intersection
A minor accident occurred Monday at 6 00 PM at 2nd Ave and 1st St SAV. Kav Web of LeMars driving a 1957 station wagon collided with a 1951 model car driven by Marlene Stoos wife of Albert Stoos. Damage listed as 125 to the Web vehicle and 63 to the Stoos auto. Web was northbound and Stoos southbound turning east.

City clerk Nels Newendorp says most incumbents will face challengers in the November 5 election. The ballot is expected to be a single ticket with the top contenders for each post. For mayor the candidates are R. J M. Long and Kenneth Vance, with Long the incumbent. Alderman at large include Rudy Adler Gregg Featherston and Ray Barthole.
