Spouse Seeks Guardian for Husband in Iowa District Court

Dorothy Petersen filed a petition in district court claiming she is the lawful spouse of Arthur E. Petersen of Plymouth County Iowa. She alleges he owns a quarter section farm tied to mortgage debt and is an habitual drunkard unfit to manage his affairs. On October 4 1957 he was sent to the Mental Health Institute in Cherokee as an inebriate. The petition warns of waste to the defendant's property without a guardian and names Petersen as a suitable temporary and permanent guardian of his property.
