Fire destroys Kingsley Lumber Co and threatens nearby buildings
A large fire at the Kingsley Lumber Co caused extensive damage estimated at $74 000 with the fire spreading to nearby structures including a grain elevator and broom plant. Firefighters from Moville and Pierson assisted, critical lines were cut by a burning pole, and the Dilley residence narrowly escaped destruction as fire crews battled the blaze and later contained hotspots.
