Arthur C. Winterfeld aged 46, long-time Craig area resident, died June 26 at a hospital in Adrian Minnesota after a six month illness. He married Christine Molitor on February 16, 1944 at Ashton Iowa. Funeral services set for June 29 at 2 50 PM at Mautz Funeral Home in Adrian with Rev. Donald Schmidt officiating. Survivors include his widow and daughter Judy of Adrian, his father L J Winterfeld of Craig, and four sisters Mrs Arnold Metz of Sioux City, Mrs Paul Beyer of Phoenix Arizona, Mrs Nora Kock of Craig, and Mrs Donald Shearer of Correctionville Iowa. He was predeceased by his mother and one sister.

One Way To Beat Parking Tax Racket
A section of an old fire escape at 718% Fourth street in Sioux City was pulled off by a truck winch and fell on two parked cars and a meter on Monday afternoon. Police identified vehicle owners Elsine Shanahan of 215 35th street and Jack D. Krusenstjerna of 2316 St. Olive street as the injured parties. The truck belonged to C. D. Holder Steel Erection Co. at 4416 Third avenue and was operated by Henry A. Krause of 2004 Roosevelt street, both in Sioux City.

Sharon Lynne Crosby of Riverside California married Claire Franklin Martine of Le Mars on June 16 1956 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverside.
