Tangeman Shovels Snow and Builds Apochromatic Telescope
Milton Tangeman arrived in Le Mars from California amid a big snowstorm and enjoys the cold weather. He toured with his parents and shows a five inch refractor telescope he designed and built, boasting apochromatic optics and a blackened tube to reduce light dispersion. Worth about 2250 dollars, he values the instrument highly and may seek machinist work around Le Mars while enjoying Iowa’s climate. In sports, Le Mars-Gehen beat Rock Rapids 62 to 50 with Dreckman and Gehlen leading scorers.
