Three-Truck Crash Kills One In Iowa Near Sioux Center
Jack Lawson 28 of Neosho Missouri died around 4 a.m. on Highway 75, 3% miles north of Sioux Center, in a crash involving three semi trailers. A Moorhead Minnesota truck with cattle struck the Texas truck, killing Lawson and injuring its driver. Howard Meyer of Breckenridge Minnesota struck a flagman and died. twenty cattle in the Moorhead load were killed.

An OK Cafe at Allen was robbed and a safe containing $300 in cash and papers carried away Tuesday night. The break was discovered Wednesday morning by owner Bal Prerths. The safe was later found near Marion Chapman farm, south of Carnes, with Wiltgen Construction Co tools nearby. The hammer and crowbar damaged the safe and checks remained inside. No insurance.
