False Alarm At Bel Aire Court Motel Fire Dept Responds
Le Mars fire department answered a Bel Aire Court Motel call around 8:30 Tuesday night but turned out to be a false alarm. A passing motorist reported smoke from a chimney, but there was no fire and no damage, said co owner Mrs Harold Kolker.

Three youths aged 1 6 and 17 from Remsen were found guilty in Sioux City Municipal Court of tampering with a motor vehicle. They received 10 days in jail and parole on good behavior to Rev. C Harding Veigel of Le Mars and Delmar Bainbridge of Kingsley, superintendent of Union Consolidated school. They were charged with taking hub caps from a car in Sioux City.

Empty Farm House Burned North of Seney
An empty farm house on the Wil lam korver Jr. place about four miles north of Seney burned to the ground Tuesday evening. Firefighters from Orange Cry department arrived after a good start and could not check the blaze. The house had been empty for two months and was rented to Gerald Gengier for the current year. Earlier occupants included Walter Martfeld family and Calvin Korver of Allen worked the land. Fire did not spread to other buildings.
