Tony Pick bought the Nitzschke residence for 6775 dollars, and Dominick Weiler purchased the Frericks home for 8000 dollars. Elmer Haack acquired the Burdorf house for 3500 dollars. A furniture sale follows on Saturday February 18 at 2 o clock. Also new members were admitted to the Msgr Schemes Council Knights of Columbus in Remsen on Sunday February 5.

Mrs Viola Peters 81 of Hinton died Wednesday in a Le Mars nursing home. Funeral services were held Saturday at Mauer funeral chapel Le Mars with Rev. Donald L Harbour officiating. Burial was in Kingsley Iowa. Peters born September 12 1874 in Black Berry Illinois moved to Plymouth county as a young woman. She married C Henry Peters January 13 1897 in Marcus Iowa. he died in 1947. Survivors include four sons C Henry and John R of Hinton Harmon and Ralph of Sioux City. four daughters Olive Sunow Le Man Viola Muecke Hinton Laura Dierchsen Hawarden and Louise Cox Anthon. three brothers three sisters 23 grandchildren 33 great grandchildren.

Mrs Nick Bertamus Rites Held In Granville Area
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Bertamus of Brundleland Minnesota aged 78 were held January 31 1956 at Saint Minny Catholic Church Granville. Rev Komfart officiated at a requiem mass as high school choral sang. She died January 27 in Rapid City South Dakota after a month illness. Burial was in St Leo Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers included grandsons Clarence Schwer George Riley Ed Paradis Earl Neuse Chuyton Alois Bertamus. Survivors include five daughters and one son, twenty six grandchildren and many great grandchildren, five brothers and her husband predeceased. Relatives attended from numerous Minnesota Iowa and South Dakota towns.

Wedding Anniversary At St Johns Lutheran Church
Bob Jones Pholo and his spouse observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday evening February 12 at St Johns American Lutheran Church.
