County Attorney William Sturges announced Mrs Phillip Lubben and Ed Langholdt were each sentenced to thirty days in county jail for running a disorderly house at the Ed Langholdt home in LeMars. Fire at Miller farm brooder house destroys 400 chicks
At 10 o clock February 16 a fire at Kenneth Miller farm 34 percent miles west of Jereton burned a brooder house and 400 six week old chicks. The cause was undetermined. Weather reported by Wes Keizer notes highs near 38 and lows unspecified. Mrs Lynn Junck, daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Junck of Hinton, was named 1956 sweetheart at Southern State Teachers College Springfield South Dakota, chosen by the Dramatics club.
