Plymouth County Furrows Queen Crowned at 4-H Show
Sandra Beaulieu daughter of Mr and Mrs Harold Beaulieu of Liberty township was crowned Queen of the Furrow for Plymouth County last Monday evening August 19 at the Plymouth County 4-H fair. Eva Lund announced the selection to the audience. Beaulieu will compete with girls from 10 other northwest Iowa counties at the Regional contest at the Sheldon Plowing Match in September. Terraces were staked for Eldon Bryant Johnson township Ernest Schoud Elkhorn township and Theodore Porsch Hungerford township. A Sort and Water Conservation Farm Plan was completed and delivered to Walter and Fd Held in Hungerford township. Vander Hamm of Ireton celebrates his 90th birthday Wednesday September 4 with open house at his home. Ice Cream Social at St Joseph's Catholic Church Struble on Sunday Sept 1 from 4 pm.
