Development Of Building Lot Indicated Storm Sewer Plan Considered
The city council discussed a storm sewer for areas south of Crandview and east of Hts addition. Larry Meis and Gull Gisnere propose a Meis addition south from 6th Ave to Greenwood Raid area with 80 ft street width and 90 by 135 foot lots. A storm sewer system of two 36 inch tubes or larger could cost 12000 to 48000, to be funded by the city without assessments to benefitted properties. Meis would grade east of the lots, install utilities, curbs, gutters, and possibly paving. The sewer would be laid under ground along the east edge of the lots. Gilmore plans to build this summer if the city acts. This project would boost taxable property value.
