Funeral Rites Held for Jacob Zweifel 88
Jacob Zweifel 88 died Friday at Sacred Heart hospital after months of illness. Funeral services were held Monday at Luken's funeral home with Rev. Walter Elmer officiating. burial in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery. Zweifel, born June 30 1874 in Linthal Switzerland, came to the U S at 17 and farmed in North and South Dakota. He worked as a male nurse on the West Coast, then at Artificial Ice Co and as a custodian for Mauer Furniture and Central Telephone. He never married and was known as Little Jake. survivors include several nieces and nephews.
