Musketeers Hockey Draws Big Sioux City Crowds
Sioux City Musketeers head coach Rich Blanche, a 25 year old former Denver player, says hockey is here to stay as the team draws about 1200 fans per game. The club, in the USHL with Sault Ste. Marie Green Bay and others, hosts Green Bay Friday and Sault Ste. Marie Saturday and Sunday with games at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday.

Mini basketball season opens Saturday at Westmar gym
After four weeks of practice, the mini basketball league debuts this Saturday December 16 at Westmar gym due to a Carey gym conflict. About 120 boys ages 9 to 12 compete in ABA and NBA divisions in a 12 week program coached by volunteers, with opening pairings listed for 1, 2, and 3 pm.
