Regulation sought on dairy ingredients in filled milk
USDA proposes amending federal milk orders to regulate dairy ingredients in filled milk. The ruling would classify filled milk as a fluid milk product with under six percent nonmilk fat and affect payments to producers and pool plant rules. Public comments due by August 4 after July 15 publication.

Portrait of Lurleen Wallace Unveiled at Alabama Capitol
In Montgomery, former Gov George C Wallace and his 8-year-old daughter Janie Lee unveiled Alabama’s official portrait of the late Gov Lurleen Wallace in the Capitol rotunda. The artwork by Dmitri Vail of Dallas will hang beside Wallace’s portrait, honoring Alabama’s only woman governor. Mrs Wallace died May 7 1968 after a two year cancer battle.
