A 37 year old Tonganoxie man, Edward Everitt Peel Jr., was sentenced by Leavenworth County Judge Gunnar Sundby to 23 years in prison after pleading guilty to rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and indecent solicitation of a child. The crimes involved a girl aged six to 14 between 2002 and 2004 and occurred before Jessica's Law.
