Schoeppe ll Plan Draws Wide Backing In Kansas Legislature
Gov An drew Schoeppels proposal to create a state office of veterans affairs draws broad support in Kansas with 60 lawmakers approving in a pre session AP poll and only one opposing in the House. Senators largely favorable though wary of department size. Many lawmakers rank veterans care and jobs as session priorities while a separate pre marital syphilis test bill earns strong but cooler support.
