Lawrence transit center picks five site options
City commissioners should swiftly choose a location for a long discussed transit center. Five sites were identified including Vermont Street options, Bob Billings Crestline corner, Stewart Ave., and Clinton Parkway Lawrence Avenue. A built center would centralize routes, reduce trip times, and improve bus system efficiency. Public input is open via a city survey through year end with final commission recommendations in January. The city has allocated 5 million dollars for the project.
