Lawrence businessman charged in 15 million loan scheme
A Lawrence businessman faces an indictment in U S District Court in Kansas on conspiracy to commit bank fraud four counts of bank fraud and two counts of making false statements in bank records relating to a 15 million construction loan from 26 Kansas banks. Old Fashioned Christmas Parade heads through Lawrence
The 25th edition of the Old Fashioned Christmas Parade runs today at 11 a.m. in downtown Lawrence. Massachusetts Street hosts entrants from Seventh to 13th Street and onward to the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Organizers anticipate over 100 entries including riders from Missouri Nebraska and Iowa in one of the nation’s few all horse drawn parades.
