Douglas County Receives Extra Road Funds This Morning
A check for 94659 dollars was received by Douglas County treasurer J Stevenson from the secretary of state to bolster the road fund. The sum comes from automobile tax revenue not spent on license law administration in the prior two years. The 1917 law provides for repayment of such funds every two years. Douglas County reports 2059 automobiles and 14 motorcycles, with state totals showing 84 980 autos and 6 391 motorcycles licensed last year.
