Sportsmen Seek State Action on Rabid Foxes
The Southern Lancaster County Sportsmen's Association urged action after ongoing fox activity. Members asked the State Department of Agriculture and Game Commission to stamp out the rabies. In Chester County about 160 foxes and fifty affected dogs were killed to curb the plague. A boy near Conestoga Center was not bitten after shooting a fox that attacked him. The group noted cattle risks and read an ad from buyers of foxes. They also noted 500 pheasants from Roy Weaver will be delivered June 5.
