Cattle Showman Builds Angus Empire in Lancaster County
Fred, leader of the 4H Angus heifer club, has become a leading purebred Angus breeder in Lancaster County. He expanded his holdings by purchasing eight of 65 head at Valley Creek Farms dispersal in West Chester, paying top dollar for quality cows like Georgina V153 and Juana Erica. His herd includes famous names such as Ruth Tillyford, Pride of Aberdeen, and Blue Ribbon Blackbird, with stock bred to notable bulls. He fattens 40 to 50 steers yearly for markets in Lancaster and New Holland.
