Poultry Technician Short Course Set At Penn State
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture invites applications by July 1 for the second poultry technician training course to be held at Penn State in August 1924. Sixteen trainees from the first course have renewed licenses in 1957, with about 15 expected this year. Trainees will learn to take and label blood samples for pullorum testing, under Dr. H A Milo. The 1957 program, enabled by the 1955 Legislature, requires trainees to be at least 21, with a $10 registration fee, and completion leads to licensure to work for hatcheries and poultrymen.
