Lancaster broiler prices slip in weekly sales report
Lancaster Poultry Exchange notes heavy receipts as broilers fall a half cent to average 19.60 per bird on 40 lots totaling 122,550 birds. Reports show 51 lots offered, 52 sold, 41 not sold, and 11 drawn. Elam Kauffman tops Thursday with 500 White Cross broilers sold at 20 1/2 cents.
