Australians Using Planes on Farms
An Agriculture Gazette notice from Sydney reports that in the three months ending June 30 1956 planes treated 116000 acres of pasture in New South Wales. Nearly 8000 tons of phosphate fertilizer and 50000 pounds of clover seed were applied to 102000 acres by plane. About 14000 acres of pasture were treated with herbicide and a further 65000 acres of other crops were treated with herbicides and insecticides by planes.

Russia to Buy 55 Million Pounds Danish Butter
The Foreign Agricultural Service reports that the Soviet Union and Danish exporters have signed a contract for 55 million pounds of unsalted refrigerated butter. This marks the USSR’s first Danish butter purchase since 1954 when 228 million pounds were imported.

Farm Women Executive Board Sets County Project for Year
The Lan caster County Society of Farm Women plans to buy a portable chart carriage and an orthopedic examination table for St Joseph's Hospital as this year's county project. The June 4 meeting at Mrs Wallis Rohrer's home set August migrant camp parties with United Council of Church Women, county chorus rehersals August 5, and county convention November 2 at Hempfield High School.
