Washington Boro tomatoes are being trialed in the Rawlinsville area by Eugene Frey and William Weiler on about one acre. About 3,000 plants are in ground prepared with cocoa bean shells and soybean meal, with bloom visible. The variety is said to fruit two weeks earlier than Rutgers.
