Campbell Dedicates Control And Quarantine Facility
Under Secretary J Phil Campbell spoke at the Gainesville Florida dedication of the Biological Control and Quarantine Facility on July 12 highlighting intergovernmental cooperation. The plant industry division of Florida’s agriculture department built it with natural resources aid and will host UF scientists with state and federal partners. He noted pests and diseases cause billions in losses annually and praised programs like screwworm eradication and boll weevil control as proof that total pest management and integrated methods protect productivity and environment.
