Farmers Expect Adequate Fuel for Summer and Fall Work
Area farmers and fuel distributors report ample gasoline and diesel for upcoming field work and harvest. They say on farm tanks of about 300 gallons can be filled, with no shortages seen locally though some suppliers require current accounts for delivery. National reports note potential shortages in the Southwest during harvest, but supplies are expected to remain adequate as harvest moves to Saskatchewan. Prices for next year's feed grains may rise if grain dryer fuels tighten later this year.
