Referendum On Milk Set December 17
State Agriculture Secretary Leland H Bull announced a referendum on December 17 on a proposed milk marketing development program for Pennsylvania. The plan would levy a one half of one percent assessment on gross milk value to fund promotion, with all commercial milk sellers eligible to vote. Ballots mailed to producers must be returned by December 17, and approval requires two thirds of votes and at least half of total production represented.
