4-H Dairy Champions Named At Two Day Show
The two day 4-H show at the Guernsey Barn crowned breed champions and reserve champions across Ayrshire Brown Swiss and Jersey. Winners included Bryan Smeltz Elizabethtown with Masonic Homes Flashy Carla and Linda Sue Witmer Willow Street R2 with Jo-Har Thelma Nola. Showmanship and fitting awards were also given with a district show berth earned.

Plowing Contest Rescheduled For Early August
The Lancaster County Plowing Contest was postponed due to wet weather and is now set for Wednesday August 6 at 10 a.m. at Earl Hurst Farm Route 222 North of Lancaster with a rain date of Friday August 8. Aaron Stauffer, committee chairman, confirms the updated details.

Blossomeile Cow Tops County Holstein Show In Lancaster
Blossomeile Dairy Princess a dark upstanding Cochran Gener al daughter shown by Herbert and Rhelda Royer won senior and grand champion honors at the Lancaster County Black and White Show at the Guernsey Barn. The home bred cow also took best udder. Reserve senior and reserve grand honors went to Sunny Craft Jul ley by Clarence Stauffer. The Julley cow also had reserve udder. Senior yearling top two were Ray-Line Crescent Cuddles and Wishelme Martha Michelle Was. Grand champion bull went to Sunny Craft Jim Monogram. reserve bull to Len Lyn Model Kingpin Maxim by Galen Crouse. The show served as a qualifier for the State Black and White Show and lasted five hours under judge Obie Snider.
